 Make It So: Ubi, The Ubiquitous Plug-in Computer Is Available For Pre-Order 

What- This $219 gadget is called Ubi. It is like a smart phone used only in the house.

How- The Ubi can monitor things around your house with its sensors. It is used only with wifi. It changes different colors when there is wifi and there isn't.

When- Ubi will come out in 2013.

Where- This gadget can only be used in outlets in your house.

Who- Ubi was created by a Toronto team.

Nao Next Gen Bot
 
What- This robot is called Nao. He can talk, walk and play catch. Nao can also plug himself in to charge when his battery is running low.
 
Why- Nao was invented for autistic children to pratice having full conversations and responding correctly.

How- This robot has two HD cameras that has the ability to recognize your face and your movements. It also has four microphones that can recognize your voice and specific words in your sentence.    

When- This robot came out this year in March.

Where- 2,000 Nao robots have been sold worldwide, and are currently being used in schools to help teach children.

I, For One, Welcome Our Salad-Making Robot Overlords

What: This Salad-Making robot is called CIROS. It is a robot that prepares a salad for you.

Why: CIROS was invented to help the elderly or handicapped people prepare or cook their daily meals.

How: This robot has a Kinect head that can identify common household objects. It can also load the dishwasher and pour your drink. The robot also cleans up your mess after you have finished your meal.

Where: You will find that most science centers have CIROS to present.

Who: Korean Institute of Science and Technology’s Center created this robot.
